====== Storage of telemetry files ======

Sim Racing Telemetry stores recorded telemetry files in system dependent directories, using a proprietary file format and encoded file names.

Sometime it could be helpful to know where the files are stored, for example to backup the data.

If you make any changes to the stored files outside the application, you must restart Sim Racing Telemetry to see the changes.

To share or export data in other formats, look at [[sharing-data]].

===== Windows =====

Files are stored in the following user directory:

  %LOCALAPPDATA%\UNAmedia\SRT\1.0\telemetries

You can copy & paste the string into the search box of the Windows taskbar to open the directory in File Explorer.

===== macOS =====

Files are stored in the following user directory:

  ~/Library/Application Support/UNAmedia/SRT/1.0/telemetries/

===== iOS & Android =====

Mobile systems doesn't allow direct access to the filesystem used by apps.
